Commercial fisheries have operated on the Ohio River since at least the early 1800's. The activity is currently restricted to Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky portions of the Ohio River. This presentation will cover the history of commercial fishing in the Ohio River, with the emphasis on harvest and user trends.
