History: JoJo
was picked up in Combs, AR by Don Jackson. JoJo is the only carnivore at Turpentine Creek
who came to us that was born in the wild. Her owners dog brought home a small puppy
one day. They spent three weeks trying to figure out "what kind of dog doesnt
have a tail". Realizing she was a bear, they proceeded to raise JoJo indoors until
she began to climb all over the cabinets and get into everything. They then put her
outside to turn her loose, but she would not leave. By the time she was 10 months old, she
had began to tear the screens off the house trying to get back in. The owners decided they
really did not want a bear hanging around and called Turpentine Creek.
