History: Tanya Smith picked up S. A., along with 3 other cats at an animal orphanage in San Antonio, Texas. This orphanage took cats that had been confiscated, but they had run out of room. There was no way to get a trailer into the compound to load the cats, so they were tranquilized and carried to the trailer. S. A. had his claws removed at an early age. He had been used as a "guard cat" at an illegal drug lab and had been confiscated by DEA. We did not know his name, so we called him S.A. for San Antonio. Today he answers quite well to that name. Someone that resembled one of our founders, Robert Jackson, had apparently abused S.A. Personal: When S. A. arrived at Turpentine Creek, he was approximately four years old. He was very aggressive toward certain people, especially Robert. Even today, he will pick Robert out in a crowd and stalk him. Robert can go near his cage, and S.A. will run to the cage walls near Robert as if he was going to attack him. |

| What can we say?! We just can't seem to say no to the cats and animals that need a home. It is better than the alternative. We really need some natural habitats built to relieve the pressure within the compound. See what you can do to help. Anything and everything helps! Please do what you can now ... the animals will appreciate it more than you know! |
