History:  Spike and Wings, were born at Turpentine Creek. Their parents are S.A. and Cammy. Spike and Wings were born on May 20, 1997. Spike weighed 3 pounds 4 ½ ounces and Wings weighed 2 pounds and 3 ounces. Spike and Wings had their claws removed at the very young age of 3 weeks. Spike received his name because when he was very young, the hair on his head came to a point and looked as if it had been "spiked".

Personal: Spike has always been one of the favorites at the Refuge. He is such a good boy here and at promotions. He lives with Wings, Pebbles, Angel, and Donna. He went to DePaul University, Chicago, IL in November, 1997, to introduce the "Exotic Cat Management" program offered through the DePaul Biology Department. Spike has also participated in the educational program offered at the Refuge. He has visited the elementary schools in the Ft. Smith and Northwest Arkansas area and is sponsored by Stephen Griffin of Ft. Smith, Arkansas..
