B.S. or B.A. in an animal-related field is preferred, but all are encouraged to apply.

 

Job Description:

Animal Keeper position. Duties include cleaning cages and habitats, feeding and medicating the animals, and a lot of manual labor in the construction and improvement of the refuge. Rewards include developing relationships with many of the hundred cats, and the chance to work hands-on with some of the animals.

Compensation:

This is a volunteer position, with no pay; however Turpentine Creek will provide you free housing on the refuge in a cozy cottage, which has heat, a/c, utilities, full bath, kitchen, and a washer and dryer.

New Positions Begin:

February 1st, 2000; positions last for seven months, with an option to extend.

October 31, 1999.
